The middle leaves or the upper leaves of the adult plant were often damaged by cold when the tomato was in the condition of sharp cold current or continuous low temperature. Chilling injury is one of the common physiological diseases of tomato. It mainly occurs in protected cultivation and tomato seedling raising, especially in the process of super early maturing cultivation and late autumn cultivation. After the tomato suffered from cold injury, the yield was reduced in varying degrees in mild cases, and all the plants were frozen in severe cases, resulting in the failure of harvest.

 

As a kind of plant signal elicitor, chitosan oligosaccharide is a new type of fertilizer in recent years. Chitosan oligosaccharides can induce crops to improve their resistance to disease and stress, and regulate their own metabolic balance.

 

Low temperature can reduce the chlorophyll content and photosynthetic rate of plant tissue.
