Product Function

Chitosan oligosaccharides can affect the content of aspartic acid, glutamic acid, cysteine, leucine, histidine and other amino acids in pig milk

Test Case

This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary chitosan oligosaccharides on reproductive performance, lactation performance and plasma biochemical indexes of sows.

24 healthy large white sows with similar parity, body weight and expected delivery date were randomly divided into three groups with 8 replicates in each group and 1 pig in each replicate. The control group was fed with basal diet, and the experimental group I and II were fed with basal diet supplemented with 50 and 100 g/T chitosan oligosaccharides, respectively.

The experiment started on the 85th day of pregnancy and ended on the 21th day after delivery.

The results show that: 1

1) Compared with the control group, the diet supplemented with chitosan oligosaccharide could significantly increase the number of healthy piglets and the average daily feed intake during lactation (P0.05), significantly reduce the birth process of sows (P0.05), improve the constipation of sows and reduce the loss of back fat thickness of sows to a certain extent; compared with the control group, the litter weight of piglets in test group I was significantly increased (P0.05), The lactation of sows in group Ⅱ increased significantly (P 0.05).

2) Compared with the control group, the content of fat in colostrum of experimental group I and II increased significantly (P 0.05), the content of urea nitrogen (UN) in colostrum and the content of arginine, total amino acid and restricted amino acid in normal milk of experimental group I increased significantly (P 0.05).

3) The activity of plasma GPT in experimental group I and II was significantly lower than that in control group (P 0.05). There was no significant difference in the activity of plasma ALP, LDH and the content of total protein (TP), albumin (ALB), UN, triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (CHO), high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) in each group (P 0.05).
