Inhibition Of Plant Pathogens

As elicitors, brown algae oligosaccharides can induce disease resistance of plants.

 

Alginate oligosaccharides significantly reduced the etiolation of Arabidopsis leaves caused by pathogen infection. The content of salicylic acid, an important disease resistance regulator, and the expression of PR1, a marker disease resistance gene of the signaling pathway, were significantly increased. Salicylic acid signaling pathway was involved in the process of alginate oligosaccharides induced resistance to bacterial diseases in Arabidopsis.


Use Method
