Chitosan oligosaccharide can increase the amount of growth hormone (GH) and insulin growth factor I (IGF-I) in serum of piglets, and detect the mRNA expression of IGF-I in liver and muscle of piglets. It is found that the mRNA expression of IGF-I in liver and muscle is significantly up-regulated.
Gh-ihg-i signal pathway is the main signal pathway regulating growth. GH binds to GH receptors on the cell surface, and then activates JAK2, PI3K, stat-5b and other pathways, finally regulates the expression of IGF-I at the transcriptional level. IGF-I binds to its receptors, opens ERK1 / 2 and PI3K pathways, and finally promotes growth.
It can be seen that chitosan oligosaccharide is involved in the signal pathway of GH-IGF-I to promote animal growth.
