1. Effect of chitosan oligosaccharide on reducing blood lipid in hyperlipidemic mice

Both chitosan oligosaccharide and Zhibituo can significantly reduce the content of TC and VLDL-C + LDL-C in hyperlipidemic mice, and chitosan oligosaccharide can also significantly increase HDL-C / TC, which indicates that both chitosan oligosaccharide and Zhibituo have obvious effect on reducing blood lipid, especially chitosan oligosaccharide. It has been reported that chitosan oligosaccharide can inhibit the activity of HMG CoA reductase and is a natural HMG CoA reductase inhibitor.

2. Protective effect of chitosan oligosaccharide on liver in hyperlipidemic mice

In this study, compared with the high-fat model group, the liver of mice in chitosan oligosaccharide group and Zhibituo group were significantly close to the normal group, which directly showed that chitosan oligosaccharide had a certain protective effect on the liver of mice.

 

Transaminase is a sensitive indicator of liver function damage. Under normal conditions, these enzymes exist in the cytoplasm and are released when the cell membrane is damaged.

 

Compared with hyperlipidemia model group, the activities of ALT and AST in serum of mice in chitosan oligosaccharide group were significantly decreased, which indicated that chitosan oligosaccharide could significantly inhibit the increase of serum transaminase level caused by hyperlipidemia, and had a certain protective effect on liver function and liver cell membrane structure; the content of MDA in liver of mice in chitosan oligosaccharide group was significantly decreased, which indicated that chitosan oligosaccharide could significantly reduce the content of MDA and inhibit the growth of liver cells Lipid peroxidation, with certain antioxidant effect, can protect the structure and function of hepatocyte membrane, thus has a certain protective effect on liver.
