Conclusion:Dietary supplementation with COS increased (P < 0.05) the weights of bursa of Fabricius and thymus, but not the spleen.
【Chitosan oligosaccharides act on immune organs】
The experimenter measured the effect of chitosan oligosaccharide on the index of spleen and thymus of tumor bearing mice. The results showed that the high concentration group of chitosan oligosaccharide (1.5%) could significantly increase the weight of spleen and thymus of tumor bearing mice, suggesting that chitosan oligosaccharide had no damage to immune organs, could reduce the damage and inhibition of tumor on host immune organs, and could improve the immune function of host.
In addition, the study showed that different doses of COS could increase the spleen and thymus index of mice, and there was significant difference between the high-dose group (500mg / L) and the control group.
It can be seen that enhancing the function of immune organs is an important mechanism of anti-tumor effect of chitosan oligo
