Product Introduction

Chitosan oligosaccharide(COS) plays an anti-inflammatory role by binding with related proteins:

COS can combine with IFN - γ to activate macrophages by binding CD14 receptor, toll like receptor 4 (TLR4) and mannose receptor on RAW264.7 cell surface. Feng et al. [14] thought that cos stimulated macrophages to express TNF - α and IL-1 β, and the prerequisite for this effect was cos binding to macrophage surface specific receptor. Mannose (mannose receptor ligand) could inhibit macrophages' Internalization of COS, while LPS (CD14 ligand) and β - glucosamine (CR3 ligand) had no such effect; Other mannose receptors: mannose BSA, fucose BSA and GL CNAC BSA could inhibit the internalization of COS. Therefore, it is considered that the receptor of COS on macrophage membrane is mannose receptor.

GlcNAc monomer inhibited the uptake of COS by macrophages, but GlcN had no such effect, indicating that GlcNAc monomer of COS plays an important role in the recognition of mannose receptor by macrophages. Ym1 is a secreted protein temporarily produced by activated peritoneal exudates during Trichinella spiralis infection in mice. It is a single chain polypeptide with a molecular weight of 43000. Molecular cloning showed that Ym1 had high sequence similarity with chitinase, and had binding specificity for free amino sugars such as glucosamine, galactosamine and glucosamine polysomes. Macrophages activated by inflammation caused by parasite infection or brain injury temporarily overexpress Ym1 [15-16]. These results suggest that Ym1 protein, as an animal type glycobinding protein, plays an important mediating role in the anti-inflammatory effect of COS.

Anti-inflammatory Mechanism

3000Da Anti Inflammatory Chitosan Oligomer In Feed GO2KA1 0

1.Chitosan oligosaccharides exert anti-inflammatory activity by inhibiting nuclear translocation of NF-κ B and expression of inflammatory factors
2.Chitosan oligosaccharides exert anti-inflammatory activity by inhibiting p38 MAPK and ERK1/2 signaling in inflammatory pathway
3.Chitosan oligosaccharides inhibit the expression of IL-8 by blocking p38 and Akt signaling pathway
4.Chitosan oligosaccharides reduce the expression of IL-6 by inhibiting p38 and ERK1/2 signaling pathway
